Dark Ages + Married For Life

Dark Ages just squeezed into the 90's in late December '99. A period sitcom (bet you can't guess what period) with stand-up comic and TV panelist Phill Jupitus, stand-up comic, TV sketch show veteran and actor Allistair MacGowan (Fist of Fun, Punt & Dennis, Preston Front), Irish commedienne, author and actress Pauline McLynn (Father Ted, Jam And Jerusalem), Dave Lamb (Moving Wallpaper, Vivienne Vyle, Goodness Gracious Me), Sheridan Smith (a very early role for her coming around the same time she was breaking in with the Royle Family) and even Miriam Karlin (shop steward Paddy in The Rag Trade) guested in an episode.

Married For Life was the UK version of the Fox network's (USA) Married With Children. While Married With Children ran for 262 episodes, Married For Life didn't get past #7. Russ Abbot (Russ Abbot Show, September Song, Last of the Summer Wine) had the "Al Bundy" role.
