Mrs Brown's Boys - The Films

Before becoming the internationally popular sitcom, Mrs Brown's Boys was a series of books, radio shows, a film starring Angelica Huston, stage productions and a series of annual films aired on TV in Ireland. While the films have a similarity to the later TV show, they are an entirely different type of production.

Sink Or Swim + It Takes A Worried Man + Porterhouse Blue

A couple "new to me" items from back in the 80's.

Sink Or Swim was a sitcom starring Peter Davison and Robert Glenister (who have both been around so long now I'm not going to list their creds) and Sara Corper (who was in some eps of Up The Elephant around the same time but hasn't been seen much in the past 20 years). The is just the third, and final, series of the show.

It Takes A Worried Man starred Peter Tilbury who also wrote it. Peter is really much better known as a writer than an actor for his work on shows like Shelley, Chef! and Birds of a Feather. It also featured Sue Holderness who has been around a long time but will forever be known as Marlene on Only Fools and Horses and The Green Green Grass. The late Andrew Tourell is also in this and he will always be remembered for his role as Geoffrey in Waiting For God and perhaps as Anthony the accountant is some eps of No Place Like Home. This show ran for 3 series and this is just the first. I imagine the 2nd series will be turning up in a year or so.

I also added Porterhouse Blue to the disc, the well known comedy starring David Jason and Ian Richardson.

The Almighty Johnsons - Series 2

The Bridge

The Bridge is a joint Swedish / Danish crime serial drama, the "bridge" referring to the Øresund Bridge which connects the two nations. I believe the Swedish characters speak Swedish and the Danish speak Danish but all the files have hard-coded English subtitles.
