Writer Carla Lane has died. Carla wrote The Liver Birds (co-wrote), Butterflies, Solo, The Mistress, Bread, Screaming, Luv and many episodes of Bless This House. She also wrote some shows that have been out of circulation such as No Strings, The Last Song, Leaving, Searching, I Woke Up One Morning.

Burt Kwouk has died. British-born, Chinese-raised, American-educated (Bowdoin class of 1953), he will be remembered for the Pink Panther films, his roles in various Bond films, Tenko, Last of the Summer Wine and his dozens of appearances on many TV shows and in films whenever there was a role for an oriental gangster, nemesis, businessman, etc. over a span of some 55 years.

Witless is about a couple of roommates that witness a murder and have to go into a witness protection program. The photo below is the murder they witness. That's them in the background. The killer is using one of those new smart guns that you don't have to aim and that shoots fire out the back of it. I suppose that's why you don't aim it as you could burn your eyes. It also doesn't require you to pull the trigger or grip it solidly so you can wear bulky gloves when you fire it. Apparently, it just does what you will it to do. It reads your mind.

Anyway, it stars Kerry Howard (Reggie Perrin, Him and Her, Give Out Girls) and Zoe Boyle (Downton Abbey, Breathless) with Samuel Anderson (Emmerdale, Doctor Who, Trollied), Charlotte Eaton (Benidorm), Nick Preston (Our Girl), Anna Crilly (Lead Balloon, Anna & Katy), Tom Cawte, Nicholas Fruin, Nick Preston, John Hodgkinson and Samuel Oatley.

Plebs returned for a third series with only minor cast changes. Adrian Scarborough's minor role has disappeared as have the roles of Sophie Colquhoun and Lydia Rose Bewley who played the lusted-after neighbor and her slave. A new role was created for Bella Dayne as Delphine, the sexually-worldly love interest of Marcus. Guest appearances this time around include Maureen Lipman, Geoff McGivern, Ingrid Oliver, Steve Edge, Samantha Spiro, Danny Webb, Michelle Keegan, Miriam Margolyes, Kim Wall, Ricky Champ, Ricky Grover, Tim Downie, Rupert Vansittart, and whoever turns up in tonight's episode.
