The Games + This Is Littleton + Utopia

Three similar Australian comedy shows from 16 years apart.

The Games, a mockumentary which aired in late 1998, was about the preparation for the 2000 Olympics. You may recall the more recent British mockumentary called Twenty Twelve which was about preparation for the 2012 Olympics? (That spun off a show which aired last winter called W1A where some of the Twenty Twelve management team is hired by the BBC...and will be returning in the future).

This Is Littleton is a political comedy sketch show that takes place in a city council administrative office.

Utopia, which aired over the past couple of months, is a satirical comedy about "a newly created government organisation responsible for overseeing major infrastructure projects".

Cilla + Our Zoo + The Driver

Three new drama series.

Cilla is a biopic about entertainer Cilla Black starring Sheridan Smith.
Cilla

Our Zoo is a biographical drama about George Mottershead and family and their founding of the Chester Zoo in the 1930's. Starring Lee Ingleby, Ralf Little, Liz White, Peter Wight, Anne Reid.
Our Zoo

The Strain

New one for the zombie crowd. American show, but one of the main stars is David Bradley, which probably explains why he's missing from the current series of Mount Pleasant. This has been renewed for another series.
