Someone contacted me recently about BBC Wales' Gavin & Stacey, one of the few comedy bright spots from the first decade of the 21st century. With only 3 episodes on Disc 2 this person assumed there would be future episodes, but that's not the case. Gavin & Stacey has concluded. The writers, James Corden and Ruth Jones (who also have performing roles in the program), have stated that they have taken it as far as it's going to go. ABC (USA) announced they intended to make an American version of G&S. So how many dozens of American writers will it take to completely destroy a good show? Looks like the "geniuses" in Hollywood can't come up with any original ideas.
