Moody And Pegg

Moody and Pegg was a 70's comedy starring the late Derek Waring and Judy Cornwell as platonic flat mates. Wiki calls this a bittersweet comedy and another website calls it a comedy-drama. I think I'd call it a gentle comedy. It's not outrageous and doesn't live punchline-to-punchline. Reminds me of After Henry. Derek Waring had a long career on TV, the stage and in film and I'm not going into it. Judy Cornwell has also had an active long career and is immortalized throughout the English-speaking world for her wonderful role as Hyacinth's sister Daisy in Keeping Up Appearances.
