Drama Smörgåsbord - Disc 21

Drama Smörgåsbord - Disc 21

Alice was an episode of the BBC Wednesday Play program and was a fictionalized account of the relationship between Charles Dodgson and Alice Liddell. I think it was also Tessa Wyatt's first TV appearance.

The Man Who Lost His Head
A 2007 joint production by ITV and TV2 New Zealand.
"Highly serious museum curator Ian Bennet (Martin Clunes) finds his life turned upside down when he's sent across the world to return an ancient Maori carving to the small fictional New Zealand town of Otakataka on the west coast of Northland."

U Be Dead
A recent film that appeared on ITV.
"Gripping drama based on a true story. When Jan receives an increasingly threatening series of texts and calls from a stranger claiming to be in love with him, it sets off a chain of events that changes his and his fiancee Debbie's lives for ever. Starring David Morrissey, Tara Fitzgerald, Lucy Griffiths, Monica Dolan, Richard Lumsden, Alex Lowe."

Vexed was a recent 3-parter on BBC2 about 2 young, hip, swinging, detective/models that save the universe from baddies........or something like that.
"Jack and Kate, bright, fun, attractive police detectives, have very different approaches to the job and life in general. In fact they disagree on everything. The hunt for a killer targeting single women proves both good and bad for their own love lives, career paths and their relationship with each other.

Unconventional police detectives Jack and Kate find themselves entering the world of therapy when a depressed banker being treated at a private rehabilitation clinic is targeted by a hit-man. Conflict is inevitable as Jack's attitude towards therapy is predictably dismissive, while Kate's struggle to save her marriage gives her a very different perspective.
The high profile kidnap of a girl band member puts an uncomfortable spotlight on unconventional police detectives Jack and Kate, resulting in an embarrassing ransom situation and mounting tensions. Meanwhile, Kate's husband Dan wants to start over by moving back to Bristol, and Jack obsesses over the possibility that he might be a 'one ball'. Starring Lucy Punch, Toby Stephens, Roger Griffiths, Ronny Jhutti, Rory Kinnear, Naomi Bentley."
