Holiday TV
Apologies to those anxious Downton Abbey viewers. It appears there is going to be a feature-length special episode on Christmas....something that was still kept under wraps at the end of the last series. Sorry. Looks like there is also going to be a Friday Night Dinner Christmas special. Sorry. There is also going to be a Trollied Christmas special as well as two Mrs. Brown's Boys - one Christmas Eve and the other on Boxing Day. New Year's Eve will kick off the new Mrs. Brown's Boys series of 6 episodes. Spy is ending its second series with a one-hour special on Boxing Day. Mount Pleasant is returning with a Christmas special on Sunday night. They'll be the usual Doctor Who Christmas special and Sky has already starting airing a new series of Little Crackers. Joanna Lumley, Rebecca Front, Tommy Tiernan and Caroline Quentin have already had their Little Crackers aired. The rest will follow this week Mon. - Thurs. nights According to various media reports, Call The Midwife, Outnumbered and Miranda (actually 1st episode of a new series) are also having Christmas specials and the Royle Family is returning again for a special called "Barbara's Old Ring".....wonder if Barbara's new 25-years-younger appearance will excite Jim enough to get him out of that chair? Or to bathe? Also coming up on Dec. 30 is the 2-hour final episode of Wild At Heart, concluding that popular show.
