Father Brown, a character featured in the writings of G.K. Chesterton, has appeared in several films and radio serials over the past 80 years. ATV produced a television series adaptation of the stories in 1974 starring Kenneth More. I recall a few of those being aired here in the U.S. about 30 years ago on PBS Mystery. Now BBC has brought Father Brown back to television again, this time starring Mark Williams (also featured in a comedy currently running called Blandings with Timothy Spall and Jennifer Saunders). The setting has been changed to the early 1950's Cotswolds and if you're not familiar with Father Brown - this is a detective drama.
