Some people are griping because of the size of the video of some of the newer programs. A lot of them have televisions with a 720 X 400 aspect ratio and a lot of the newer stuff is 640 X 360. There's a reason for that. .avi files are not HD and most of the new shows are very large .mkv or .mp4 HD files which I have to convert to .avi files and I've found that 640 X 360 is often the maximum size that works without distortion, pixilation or dropped frames during rapid motion. Remember, this format is supposed to be a money-saving and space-saving alternative but if it's a problem for you, please stick with the DVD format.
