The Railway Children is a series of children's stories by Edith Nesbit dating back to 1905. Over the years there have been a number of TV and film versions made. The BBC made television versions in 1951, 1957 and again in 1968 and that is what is featured on this disc. There was a film made in 1970 and Carlton made another film in 1999 which I have included here as well. This was also broadcast in the US on PBS' Masterpiece Theatre.
