For those outside of the UK and to answer some questions I receive:
- The Job Lot is halfway through its third series. This one is a good example of shows that had a somewhat shaky start but were given another chance to find its footing and sort itself out...although it seems the job center is now just the setting and the people working there never do any work.
- We're almost 4 weeks into the 10-episode big budget comedy You, Me and the Apocalypse.
- Scot Squad returned last night for its second series.
- The Kennedy's is halfway through its (first?) series. Seems like a pretty good family comedy but it's on BBC One and I have to wonder how well it fits into their agenda. They are inserting little bits to make it politically-correct, but will it be enough?
- Mount Pleasant, the comedy-drama, has a couple more weeks to go in its fifth series.
- The new series Together reaches the halfway mark tonight.
- A new 3-episode comedy called Bull, starring Robert Lindsay, Maureen Lipman and Claudia Jessie (in WPC 56 earlier this year), begins tomorrow night.
- Drifters returns for a third series this week.
- Next week Catastrophe returns for its second series. I'm starting to wonder if Sharon Horgan is capable of playing a mentally stable person. Maybe she did in Todd Margaret. I can't remember now.
- Detectorists returns next week. I'm looking forward to that.
- Also next week, Citizen Khan returns for its fourth series.
- Coming up, in the first week of November, Trollied will be returning for its fifth series.
