Midsomer Murders is airing it's 90th episode, The Dark Rider, Wednesday night.

A new 4-part detective/thriller series called Inside Men begins Thursday night.
"Cash depot manager John Coniston faces his worst fear when armed robbers attack, holding his family hostage while they force him to open the safe at gunpoint. As the tension reaches fever pitch, the action moves back nine months, revealing Coniston to be a responsible married man, proud of his untarnished work record. But when he discovers £50,000 has gone missing, there begins a search for the truth that ends with him thinking up a sudden, unexpected idea. Drama, starring Steven Mackintosh, Ashley Walters and Warren Brown."

Mrs. Brown's Boys, the Irish comedy, is wrapping up its second series Saturday night.

The Royal Bodyguard

David Jason was back in a sitcom called The Royal Bodyguard. For those of you who can remember 1974, it is shades of Edgar Briggs (only 38 years older). Anyway, it's not coming back and there was enough space on a disc I previously posted here so I added it to that (as I have nothing else to put with it at this time). Apologies to the one or two people who had an interest in Life's Too Short and The Cafe.

Travelling Man

Travelling Man was a mid-80s drama serial.
From IMDB:
"After finishing a 2 year prison sentence for a bribe he never took Ex detective inspector Alan Lomax wants answers. Lomax has at least one luxury left - a narrowboat. And it's on the canals, among the day trippers and travelers, that he means to find revenge. Not an easy task for an ex-detective isolated on the wrong side of the law."

Changes

Things are always changing, but here's a couple of note. Robert in LA pointed out a big mixup on Bread Disc 2. As a result, 72 of the 74 episodes produced are now available. Only the 2nd and 3rd Christmas specials are missing. And for those with an interest in the French crime drama Engrenages (Spiral) and had problems with the subtitles, it is now available with hard-coded titles.

Above Suspicion

Above Suspicion returned for another January three-part production, Silent Scream.

what's new?

Suppose I should post something so people know I'm still here.

For those of you (like me) outside the UK: Hustle has returned for its 8th and final series. Law & Order UK is also back for another series. Ruth Jones has created and written (along with 3 others) and is starring in a new comedy-drama called Stella. The first 2 (of 10) episodes have aired. The Irish comedy Mrs Brown's Boys is back for a 2nd series. The first 3 of 8 episodes have aired. David Jason is back in a new comedy called The Royal Bodyguard (very Edgar Brigg-ish). The first 3 (of 6) episodes have aired. It's January so you know Above Suspicion is back for another 3 episode series. There's a new fantasy drama called Eternal Law that's one-third of its way through its 6 episodes. Shameless is back again with 11 new episodes of British high society entertainment. Sherlock is back for its new 3-part second series and will be wrapping it up Sunday night. This week there was a new 2-part TV adaptation of Dickens' The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
A new 6-part 1950s period-drama called Call The Midwife starts Sunday night. Wild At Heart is back for another 10 episodes in its 7th series. The Australian comedy-drama Winners & Losers is set to start airing in the UK this week....of course it's been available here for months. Also, in Canada the popular comedy-drama Republic of Doyle has returned for a third season. Did I miss anything?
