Mr & Mrs Murder
Mr & Mrs Murder is a new murder investigation themed comedy-drama in Australia starring Shaun Micallef (Full Frontal, SeaChange, Welcher & Welcher, Laid) and Kat Stewart (Supernova, Underbelly, :30 Seconds, Tangle and Offspring) both of whom are no strangers to the Australian TV audience. They don't play detectives, they are the team that goes in and cleans up murder scenes while practicing their amateur interest in solving crimes. I think this is sort of a jab at the endless shows out there of this nature. You know, all the "medical examiner" shows featuring pathologist-fashion model-international spy types that end up solving all the crimes. In reality - they perform autopsies. End of story. And then there are the Marple types and private investigators and so on. Perhaps Rosemary & Thyme inspired this show? If you like that one you'll most likely enjoy this. Shaun's a funny and clever comic and he makes it work. Thirteen 45-minute episodes. No word on if this will be returning in the future.

Island At War
Island At War is yet another drama about the German military occupation of the Channel Islands in the 1940's. This one is a serial mini-series. These are the original full-length episodes and not the ones shown on PBS in the USA with 5 to 10 minutes edited out. Unfortunately, the first episode begins with the following graphic
and most historians would laugh at the bottom line because it couldn't be further from the truth.

Coast - Disc 10
Coast returned for an 8th series of six new 1-hour episodes. They've gotten away from the geographic themes and now focus on various general themes as illustrated by the episode titles. And, as usual, everything they discuss is the greatest!, most awesome!!, most incredible!!! most totally amazing!!!! thing in the world!!!!! like they're in some sort of drama competition with the numerous Dan Brown documentaries, which frequently go over the top. Maybe they're trying to keep the short-attention-span crowd watching and away from their smart phones for more than 30 seconds?

A Sense Of Guilt + Jute City
Here's a couple of mini-series from the early 90's out of a big ol' box of video tapes stashed in someone's attic.
A Sense Of Guilt is a drama of passion, adultery and crime starring Trevor Eve, Lisa Harrow, etc.
A Sense Of Guilt
Jute City is a Scottish crime drama with David O'Hara, Clive Russell, Joanna Roth, John McGlynn, etc. Soundtrack by Dave Stewart (Eurythmics).

Endeavour
Endeavour first appeared as a one-off TV movie during the 2011 holiday season (it is on Smorg 35). Now it has returned with 4 more feature-length episodes and most likely that will not be the end of it. Endeavour is a prequel to the popular 1980's/1990's crime drama Inspector Morse and takes place in the mid-1960's just after Morse has left Oxford. With Lewis (itself a Morse spinoff) coming to an end, perhaps ITV will be focusing on this one looking to develop a younger targeted audience.

The Village
The Village is a new drama set in a Derbyshire village during WWI. BBC seems to have big plans for this show, perhaps still looking for a rival to ITV's Downton Abbey. An earlier attempt, the "new" Upstairs Downstairs, fizzled out pretty quick, so who knows how this one will make out? It's set to return next year sometime and will be taking the story into the 1920's. Written by Peter Moffat (North Square, Criminal Justice, Silk, Cambridge Spies, Einstein and Eddington) who has stated he would like to see it extended to 42 episodes spanning nearly a century. Starring John Simm (Mad Dogs, Exile, The Devil's Whore, Life On Mars, State Of Play, The Lakes, Men Of The World), Maxine Peake (dinnerladies, The Way We Live Now, Early Doors, Shameless, The Devil's Whore, Little Dorrit, Criminal Justice, Silk), Nico Mirallegro (Hollyoaks, Exile, Upstairs Downstairs), Juliet Stevenson (The Mallens, The Hour, White Heat) and others.

New Scotland Yard - Disc 1
New Scotland Yard is an early 70's crime drama. With each episode featuring a different story and a different supporting cast, a lot of familiar faces turn up in this. It ran for four series (45 episodes). The first 25 episodes have been released to date, so hopefully I'll have more disks available at some point.

This may change in the future if I can set something up with another family member or something, but I - personally - am not allowed any accounts with them for refusing to provide them with my social security number and my wife's account (and she foolishly shared her SS# with them) has reached the maximum number of transactions allowed for the year before they hand the account over to the IRS. For nearly two decades the government had a hands-off policy regarding internet trade, but a couple years ago the Obama administration very quietly initiated a very hands-on, or hands-in, policy. ebay/PayPal shares all transaction data with the government now and you can't send anything out of the country without registering the details online with the government, but they don't seem too concerned about what's coming in. You figure it out.
