Harry Worth - Disc 4

Here's another disc of Harry Worth material. I hope this stuff keeps turning up! Starts off with 6 episodes from Here's Harry which was the second sitcom he did for BBC which had a 60 episode run from 1960 to 1965. Following that are 5 episodes from Harry Worth, his 3rd BBC sitcom which lasted 37 episodes between 1966 and 1969. Following Harry Worth he starred in Scoop in 1972 and then jumped ship to ITV for Thirty Minutes Worth, My Name Is Harry Worth, and How's Your Father. Filling out the disc are the last 2 episodes from Harry's last sitcom, Oh Happy Band!, which was written by the team of Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft (Are You Being Served?, 'Allo 'Allo!, Come Back Mrs Noah, Grace And Favour). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Worth

Psychoville update

The new series of the black comedy Psychoville is ending tonight. I thought Series 1 had a rather simplistic and disappointing ending, so hopefully Series 2 will end on a better note.

Kit Curran - complete and upgraded

The Kit Curran Radio Show (Series 1) and just plain old Kit Curran (Series 2) was a mid-80's sitcom starring Scottish actor Dennis Lawson and a whole slew of familiar faces. Previously there were two missing episodes and some audio problems. I keep reading that this was originally on Channel 4 but the video tapes show a Thames ident at the end. Who knows? Who cares? This was the first starring TV role for Lawson who is much better known for his long successful career in drama...stage, TV and screen (Local Hero, small role in the first 3 Star Wars films).

For the past 7 weeks Doctor Who has been back with us, but now it will be on hiatus until sometime in September when it will return and finish up Series 6 of the revived edition or Series 2 of the 11th Doctor, whichever way you look at it. So there are 7 new Doctor Who episodes plus the Comic Relief short from last March plus 7 new episodes of the companion behind-the-scenes series Confidential.

Anyone else as sick of CGI as I am? Some of the "horror" films from the silent era are excellent and I'll get to them at some point, but let's start things off back in the early days of the talkies. More to come.
