The White Queen?
I received two e-mails today about this show which ended last night......which is pretty amazing since I'd be lucky to get 2 requests for it anyway, but I spent this nice summer day trying to get this to fit onto 1 disk. Lots of problems with these HD files and it's taking a PC all day just to convert a single file for some reason. I'll have it down to one disk eventually.

L For Lester
L For Lester is a sitcom from 31 years ago starring Brian Murphy (Man About The House, George & Mildred, Last of the Summer Wine, The Cafe) with Hilda Braid (Citizen Smith, EastEnders), Linda Robson (Birds of a Feather, Shine On Harvey Moon), Amanda Barrie (Coronation Street, Bad Girls), James Cossins, etc.
About 15 months ago I put Porterhouse Blue and the 3rd series of Sink Or Swim on a disk with series 1 of It Takes A Worried Man. I now have series 2 of Worried Man sitting here and Series 3 will be available in a couple months, so it will need a disk of its own, which is why Lester is paired up with those. Thanks to Mark the car guy in the E of E for digging this one up and sharing it.....along with some other items. I wonder if the Incredible Mr Tanner is out there somewhere?
I uploaded a sample segment on youtube

Offspring - Disc 5
Offspring, the Australian drama-comedy, returned for a 4th series.
There's been a number of very good Australian comedy shows, but unfortunately the only one that seems to have made any impact here in the US is the 1984 - 1994 sitcom Mother & Son. I'm assuming it must have been picked up by some PBS stations or something. Garry McDonald starred as Arthur, but we haven't seen much of him since then. I recall him being in the excellent film Rabbit-Proof Fence and an episode of Bad Cop Bad Cop in 2002 and also in a recent episode of Rake as well as a 1999 episode of Halifax f.p. He was also in a mini-series I just posted last week: The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant.
Anyway, Garry has been in the past two series of Offspring.

Virgin Of The Secret Service
Virgin of the Secret Service is another of the many ITC action-adventure programs from the 60's, the Spring of 1968 to be precise. Starring Welsh actor Clinton Greyn in the title role, this appears to take place about 100 years ago in Edwardian times. They certainly had some fun with this. More of a drama-comedy. Originally produced on long lost-or-wiped video tapes, this is sourced from what looks like filmed safety copies or kinescopes intended for export.

Julie Walters Collection - Discs 5 - 6 - 7
Reid in Atlanta has kindly shared 10 titles included here, some quite rare as they are made-for-TV films that haven't been aired in many years. The Last of the Haussmans is a play that ran in the West End last year and on the night of the final performance it was shown live in many theaters around the UK. There will probably be a Disc 8 before too long.
