Quite Interesting is currently in its 9th series (the "I" series). All episodes are the uncut 44-minute "XL" broadcasts plus the short Comic Relief special from last March and an hour long special about the show that aired about 10 weeks back.

Spy + Threesome
2 new comedies from the UK. From what I've read, I wouldn't be surprised if both of these return for second series in a year or so.
Spy stars Darren Boyd (Hippies, Kiss Me Kate, Los Dos Bros, Smack The Pony, Watching Ellie {US show}, Broken News, Green Wing, Saxondale, Little Dorrit, Personal Affairs, Whites, Case Sensitive), Dolly Wells (Star Stories, Free Agents, Campus), Mathew Baynton (Horne & Corden, Gavin & Stacey), Tom Goodman-Hill (The Office, The Worst Week Of My Life, Spoons, Broken News, My Family And Other Animals (film), Never Better, The Devil's Whore, Free Agents, Candy Cabs, Case Sensitive, Case Histories, Ideal, some recent Doc Martin eps), Rebekah Staton (State Of Play, Outlaws, Jane Eyre, Unforgiven, Tess Of D'Urbervilles, No Heroics, Pulling, Home Time, forthcoming new Wallander (UK) series), and Robert Lindsay (Get Some In!, Citizen Smith, Seconds Out, G.B.H., Nightingales, Jake's Progress, Jericho, My Family).

Threesome stars Stephen Wight (Diamond Geezer, The Great Outdoors, Whites), Irish actress Amy Huberman, and Scottish actor Emun Elliott (Feel The Force, Paradox, Lip Service).

Paul Temple
Paul Temple, a private detective slash crime novelist, began as a BBC radio serial in 1938 and made many returns right up through the 60's as well as several recent remakes. Four films were also made in the late 40's / early 50's and over a dozen novels have also appeared in the past 73 years. The character also had a large following in Germany with many German radio serials produced as well as an animated series.
The TV program was co-produced by BBC and German broadcaster ZDF. 64 episodes were aired from 1969 to 1971 but only 11 episodes survive today.

Fresh Meat
Fresh Meat is, according to Channel 4, a comedy-drama.
Wiki says this:
"Fresh Meat is a British sitcom created by Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain, who also created Peep Show. Fresh Meat marks the acting debut of comedian Jack Whitehall and also stars Kimberley Nixon (Cranford) and Joe Thomas (The Inbetweeners). The show revolves around the lives of six students who are freshers (with the exception of Howard) at the fictional Manchester Medlock University. They live in a shared house off-campus rather than university halls of residence."

Rab C. Nesbitt update
Rab C. Nesbitt was back again. Rab has now been around for a long time, going back some 25 years to the sketch show Naked Video. He still has a ways to go to pass Alf Garnett in the longevity column though. I believe it was over 33 years between the Comedy Playhouse pilot for Till Death Us Do Part and the Australian show The Thoughts of Chairman Alf.
Anyways, the 10th series of the Scottish sitcom ended last week. I was able to upgrade some of the files while at the same time reducing the number of discs (the Series 8 files I had were huge for some reason).
I'd still like to get this with hard coded subtitles someday, but I don't have all the episodes that way and still haven't been able to sort that process out anyways. But for those of you that understand the Glaswegian dialect, here's Rab from A to Z, including the 1992 Live in Aberdeen performance.

The Jury
In what must be a record for the longest hiatus, The Jury returned this week for a second series nearly 10 years after the first. (Come to think of it, I believe The Rag Trade was brought back after 15 years on the shelf and The Liver Birds after 16
+ years...so no broken records here.) Starring Julie Walters among other familiar faces. Series 1 was aired in the US on PBS Masterpiece. I have no idea if they'll be carrying Series 2.

they're back
A few comedies from mid-2010 have returned for second series. PhoneShop and Him And Her haven't worked their way into my viewing rotation yet, but another that returned starting tonight which did is Rev. I enjoyed series 1 and thought it had a really good cast (Tom Hollander & Olivia Colman with Lucy Liemann and Steve Evets). Pete vs Life is also back for another round.

Brian Limond's Limmy's Show returned to BBC Two Scotland last winter for a second series.

Nearly a year ago now Morgana Robinson brought her comic talents to Channel 4 for five nights with her The Morgana Show.

With Limmy needing a disc of his own Morgana can bunk up with bird of a feather Olivia Lee and her Dirty Sexy Funny.
